Punch Out - Little Mac ...Progress

It started out as a fairly warm and overcast day here in Colorado. I had a good chat with my mom this morning and it started raining after that. Now it's snowing and looking outside you'd never believe it hadn't been snowing earlier. We get such crazy weather here in the Rocky Mountains! Good thing I didn't have any plans to go out today!! Though I did have a date with my Wii to play some Super Mario Galaxy (the first one) and I have put that off for most of the day to do various other things...

Punch Out - Little Mac & Doc Louis
I started working on Little Mac and Doc Louis from the NES Punch Out series late last year. I stopped cross stitching for a bit (too many other things going on) and picked it up again a little over a month ago. The picture above is the first progress picture I took of it towards the end of last year.

So let's fast forward to today. I've been working on it on and off for the last month or so, mainly during my lunch break at work. I wanted to get the background knocked out (no pun intended) early, because it's so frustrating and tedious at the end. I think it's really moving along.

Once our basement is finished we're going to turn part of it into a game room. I can't wait to get some of my nerdy cross stitching framed and hung up either down there or perhaps on the stairs leading down to it... So many choices! It'll be nice to finally have our basement turned into a more practical living space.
